Here's the last one for the week, another tig steel road frame but this one is made from the NOS Tange Ultimate from about 1995. The frame still came out one ounce lighter than four lbs. inspite of the robust tubeset. I'll bet this bike would be fine riding down a long flight of stairs and knowing this particular rider, that could happen.

Great looking work as always, Paul. I just built a frame with that downtube - the spline is really weird to TIG, and I'd kind of hate to fillet braze to it.
thanks for the compliment. I think this stuff is easy to weld, just don't get too hot....those little corners want to melt away, don't they ? This is a really great riding tubeset...I wouldn't think one could notice but the tubes impart a nice feel to the bike. Prestige always was my favorite.
I remember that you loved Prestige. When I visited your shop - it must have been 2004? - you were beaming that you had gotten a whole stock of the stuff. I have a bunch of those bulge butted seat tubes that I like a lot, but they're a little frustrating to cope a DT to. I think I also have some 33mm head tubes.
oh man, I love those tubes! I am very very excited! Thank you Paul
