Road frame for Echo Park district, L.A.

 This frame has my favorite blend of True Temper OX and Columbus 'Life' tubes. The logos on the downtube are actually painted on and are not decals. The painter Allan Neymark spent some extra time on this one.

The gloss black logos would not show up unless the bike had a flat clearcoat. Its black on lack....really subtle.

This bike will get duty in the hills north of downtown, maybe in my old stomping grounds up in the Hollywood hills. I used to ride home from my bike shop job at the now defunct Harry's Hollywood Schwinn-William Shatner once came in and bought a Varsity once for a nephew.

Single speed aluminum CX frame for east bay

 This is the last in a batch of seven aluminum frames-my last aluminum batch of the summer but not the last of the year. I still have one more to start in a couple of weeks. This frame has some of the very last NOS Easton elite tubing along with some Dedaccai chainstays .

 The frame weighs in at 3 lb. 3 oz. , not bad for something that will see some really hard miles this season.

The dropouts are from Mike Ahrens and have bronze faces. I think that these are the most solid track dropouts on the planet in aluminum.

Here's the batch. I'm boxing it up and sending it to the heat treater this morning.....been working really hard this summer.

Steel road frame for Ct.

 This frame and fork are a fairly standard item from me but the paint really sets it apart.

 The fork crown is the 'Mitsugi' from Pacenti cycle designs and it is my favorite flat top crown.

 I used some of my NOS Ritchey dropouts....they went well with the crowned fork and almost give the frame a 'lugged' look.

The little paint accents on the inside of the crown are a nod to classic '70's American road bikes.

My book keepers bike built up

 This 6800 Ultegra 11 spd equipped aluminum road bike is built for the guy who has been doing my taxes since 1986. All I have ever gotten from him is sound advice and accurate work so I wanted to do something special for him if he ordered a bike.

 Not having ridden in many years he told me that he wanted a serious road bike for the hilly roads in Monterey county where he lives. I think he'll have a lot of fun on this bike. The bike is really low and long as the rider's legs are really short but his torso is super long. This is truly a custom fit.

The orphan bike built up

Someone is coming to the shop this morning to test ride this 19 lb. 9 oz. road bike......it might be sold already-It is a really nice build for the person who wants a bike with durability and reliability.

Aluminum CX frame for L.A. rider

 This one is heavy duty-3 lb. 13 oz. of bash resistant NOS Easton Elite , at least the top and downtubes. I thought I had no more of the big 44 mm downtubes but found a small stash in my loft. These will be gone soon but I'm sourcing some others .

 This looks like a really tall frame but it isn't huge-it's the oversize headtube that gives it that look.

The s-bend stays will give good tire room for muddy conditions......not that likely in L.A. but you never know...

Orphan road frame

Every once in a great while I wind up with an extra frame. This one will be built into an nice road bike to be sold at a really nice price. I hope to have it together this week. It will have a mix of 5700 and 6700 Shimano parts-all stuff that will last a long time and operate with the kind of reliability that you hope for. I'll put up complete bike photos when the whole mess is together.

 The frame is my favorite mix of True Temper OX and Columbus Life-4 lb. 3 oz. so it isn't a flyweight. It should be good for bad roads and hard use.
