7005 gravel frame for south bay rider
This one looks like a Christmas ornament....in a good way though. This color really lights up in the sun-it is a base-coat top-coat candy style powdercoat that rivals fancier paint. The Enve G-series fork has been painted to match by Joe's bicycle painting. Powdercoat was done by 'Powdercoat It' in Santa Cruz.
Single speed steel 29er for Redding , Calif.
This might be my very last rocker-dropout single speed - that is unless someone decides to resume manufacture of the dropouts and inserts. This frame is pretty light as the owner is pretty light as well. The wheelbase is kept pretty short with the bent seat tube. In order to keep the standover low the head tube is an integrated style that eliminates some of the stack height. There's a lot to this frame, even if it is a single speed.
An oldie gets a new life
This fillet brazed road frame and fork from the '90's was in a crash and the fork was destroyed and the front end of the frame was bent. The owner was determined to have it fixed so he sent it back to me, even though I have not done work like that in years . It took me a number of months to get around to fixing it but fix it I did and here's the result. I'm not sure if the geometry will be identical to how it originally was as I dod not have the original drawing any more but I think based on the numbers it should ride well. I am really happy that the customer gave me a long leash and never hounded me on the delivery time. I hope he likes the bike as much now as he did before the accident.

Semi-in-route steel gravel frame
Yes- semi in-route means that the brake line goes into the frame through the down tube and BB and out a port in the chain stay. The brake lines do not go inside the head tube though. This is a much simpler way to set up the brakes than the full in-route system. I think more people might be wanting to go this way. The BB is a T-47 ....yes, I had refused to offer these for years but the requests got too numerous to ignore. I also found a tap set at a decent price so tooling up for T-47 did not cost as much as I thought it would . This frame has what might be my very last Paragon tapered head tube. The T-47 BB shell is also Paragon but I think I still have one or two in stock.
Another steel gravel frame for Switzerland
This one is much like the previous one except that it is much larger. No fork with this one- customer must already have one I guess.
Gravel frame in steel for Switzerland.
This shop has been a steady customer for almost a decade. I appreciate that they source frames from me when there are so many other builders out there. This one is steel and it has a painted to match Enve G-series fork. They like their gravel bikes long and slack-I'm sure that the geometry is a product of the local riding conditions.
7005 gravel frame for a local
This bay area rider has a road frame from me and now he has a gravel frame as well. This one is mated to an Enve G-series fork . The 7005 aluminum is light yet really stiff - good for sudden efforts and maintaining control on rough surfaces. The cookies are not part of the deal, though.....those are coming home .

Boost 29er in steel
This one came out really nice but it's bittersweet this time- some of the items on this frame were made by Paragon Machine works and they are ceasing operations. It is likely that the head tube ,dropouts and BB shell will be extinct, at least until a new company decides to take on the task of making these parts. I have plans to source things like der. hangers from a local machine shop if nobody decides to purchase Paragon's drawings and programs. I'll definitely be keeping everyone in the loop about this development. In the mean time I have bought a ton of der. hangers so I'm good for awhile and will be able to service bikes I have made.

7005 road frame going to Brooklyn
This one is married to an Enve fork that has been painted to match. It also has a Jen Green sterling silver headbadge- unusual for an aluminum frame. I hope that UPS treats this one gently- had a couple of boxes sent to the midwest that got a real beating- must not be a happy crew of drivers out there. Hope that they are able to find inner peace........never had problems with the local drivers or really any of them for years. Last real damage I experienced on a frame was in 1993 !

Drop-bar MTB bike fully built.
Yes, this is not a gravel bike- it has a dropper post and a short travel Fox fork and it can take 2.1" tires so I call it a drop-bar mountain bike. In 1986 there were a bunch of us in Santa Cruz riding 26" MTB's with drop bars. The fad did not last long but I guess people didn't forget about it. When wheels and brakes got better there was a way to build an updated improved version of what we were riding 40 years ago. Here's the latest example. The other components of note are the Chris King 50th anniversary gold headset and the Praxis Doon crankset. These cranks are the lightest I have ever seen and they are still strong enough for a bike like this. I bought a pair for the Bro-Tour Plus bike in the earlier post. I thin that these and the Easton EC-90 cranks are leading the carbon charge in the crankset sweepstakes. The wheels were built by me in the shop with DT-350 hubs and Light Bicycle rims. This is a real price-point wheelset for a custom build. There's a 180 mm rotor up front and a 160 in the rear- good to have the stopping power for the larger tires.
Single speed gravel bike with riser bars in pink
This is a customer bike that he assembled a few weeks ago. He was not sure what bars he was going to run but has now settled on some low-rise bars and is very happy with how the bike rides in this configuration. There's a lot of pick on this bike- the owner is quite the cyclist- super strong and fearless on the descents. The pink color is just a ruse- I like his sense of humor. The bike has 700x50 tires- this size is becoming very popular currently.
Bro-Tour Plus fully built
I worked on Saturday ( the horror...) to build this- my first new road bike in at least a decade. It differs from all my other road bikes in that it has disc brakes and can take up to a 700x38 tire. It has Gravel King 700x35's on it now. The parts are a mix of Ultegra and 105 as I needed mechanical shifting. I was not fully ready for Di II or in-route brake lines. I decided that my patience level for an assembly with those components was insufficient. Even with the simple setup, this build took a good 3-1/2 hours not including the wheel build and there's some stuff on the bike that is not what I would call 'done' . That said, I'll be taking it on its maiden voyage tomorrow morning. If I really like it I'll keep it. If I feel that it isn't me I'll put it up for sale. I have lots of bikes and don't really need this one but I had to make it and experience it as I need to really know what to tell people about it- I guess at 70 I still have a little growing up to do.

Customer road bike for sale
This one is located near Carefree, Az. The customer was 6' and was an avid rider. Unfortunately , he passed away not long ago but this and his other bike live on. This is from the golden era of US made Easton Scandium tubing and it has the Campagnolo 10 speed group of the period. The seat tube is about 52 to the top and the top tube is about 58 . The cranks are FSA carbon and it has speedplay pedals, a Sella Italia SLR saddle and Rolf wheels. You can see that the condition of the bike is excellent. The bike is for sale for $ 1,600 OBO. The frame also has a carbon seatstay from Reynolds that matches the fork. Contact info for the seller is kw_bullard@yahoo.com buyer will pay shipping as needed. I believe this frame was built around 2006-7. If you need more info about the tubing you can contact me. It's a very special bike and someone should be riding it.

New model - "Bro-Tour plus"
It has been about a decade since I have built myself a road frame -this one is mine. I had the idea that after trash talking disc brakes on a road bike for so many years it was maybe time for me to give in and get a bit more modern. Along with the disc brakes I'll be getting bigger tires -700x35 and lower gears. I'm 70 years old now and don't want to give up on riding the steep hills and crappy pavement-my body is saying to me "If you want to keep doing that crap you'll have to do it on a bike that works with your aging skeleton. This is the Bro-Tour plus, the big tire version of the Bro-Tour. It's still a road bike and not a gravel bike pretending to be a road bike. It has enough room for my favorite gravel tire but I doubt I'll be using it for that type or riding. I'm possibly taking this bike to France in three weeks- that is if I get it built. -Wish me luck.....I'll need it. I have a lot of your frame to build first.
Big tire gravel CX in 7005 for Walnut Creek.
This one has longer chain stays to take up to a 700x50 tire. It's pretty light at about 3-1/2 lbs. for the frame. It is mated to an Enve G series fork that has been painted to match by Joe's bicycle painting in Watsonville. Every time Joe nails a tricky color match I let people know about it- it's an art. By the way- this was my very last set of pink decals .If you want them I'll have to re-order them.
Steel boost 29er fully built
This one is going to San Luis Obispo, Calif. The new owner lives close enough to drive to the shop so he will pick it up in person. The build is Easton/Fox and Shimano XT including the wheel set. Tires are 29x2.5 - the big meats for the big rocks. I hope he likes the way it rides.
