I worked on Saturday ( the horror...) to build this- my first new road bike in at least a decade. It differs from all my other road bikes in that it has disc brakes and can take up to a 700x38 tire. It has Gravel King 700x35's on it now. The parts are a mix of Ultegra and 105 as I needed mechanical shifting. I was not fully ready for Di II or in-route brake lines. I decided that my patience level for an assembly with those components was insufficient. Even with the simple setup, this build took a good 3-1/2 hours not including the wheel build and there's some stuff on the bike that is not what I would call 'done' . That said, I'll be taking it on its maiden voyage tomorrow morning. If I really like it I'll keep it. If I feel that it isn't me I'll put it up for sale. I have lots of bikes and don't really need this one but I had to make it and experience it as I need to really know what to tell people about it- I guess at 70 I still have a little growing up to do.
